I was somewhat skeptical about the topic Megan presented but after hearing her talk for just an hour, I can honestly say my life will be profoundly changed for the better because of her. Megan was down-to-Earth and relatable and so genuinely honest about her own priorities and choices that there was never a doubt in my mind that what she was advocating was something I could realistically achieve for myself. I also like that Megan offered a number of ideas and recommendations but encouraged us to start slow and develop one positive habit before building upon that success with another. So often we are our own worst critics and get in the way of our own wellness. Be open to what Megan has to say because if you are, she will without a doubt change your life.

Megan spoke at a seminar I coordinated and she blew the audience away. She is smart, energetic, motivating and empowering. I have already booked her to speak again.

I attended the Wisconsin Association for Justice Summer Seminar this past weekend where you were the keynote speaker. I wanted to thank you for speaking to an incredibly important and often over-looked problem in our field. Your work to bring awareness to the physical and emotional well-being of attorneys is inspirational. After hearing your talk, I immediately took stock of my own lifestyle and made several of the changes you suggested—drinking water in the morning, no screens after 9pm, and focusing on sleeping for a full 8 hours. Thanks for the words of encouragement and I appreciate you traveling out to Wisconsin to help spread awareness.

On Women In Cycling

Wow, wow, wow… I am still reeling inside after the amazing viewing of Half the Road, an awesome, humbling, and very motivational movie about women’s cycling!! I loved the talk given by Megan Hottman, about the strength and courage it takes to go big, only to sometimes hit the pavement, but never give up!! If we never try, we will never know, and we have already failed!!

On Work-life "Balance"

I was privileged to get to listen to Megan’s presentation on “balancing cycling and life” recently at Ladies Night at Bicycle Village. She was very informative, humorous, personable and a pleasure to listen to. Her “down to earth” presentation was enjoyed by all, and I especially appreciated her insight to the “real world” and how she overcame life’s obstacles to be able to combine her dreams and goals with a result of balance of a career and sport! I am looking forward to hearing her speak again in the future!
— Linda, Arvada Tri Club

Megan was the primary speaker at our Ladies Night and she was amazing! Getting in contact with her was seamless and then she kept in touch with me leading up to it, going over the topic, time restraints and other details. I had asked her to speak on finding balance between riding and life and her talk was awe-inspiring! It was heart-felt, personal and very moving. Her delivery was impeccable and really resonated with all the women in the audience. Not only is she a great cyclist with an incredible story, but she is an extraordinary speaker as well.
